About Nuestras Raíces
Nuestras Raíces is a trademarked 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization serving the Los Angeles South Bay community. Nuestras Raíces’ mission is twofold: to provide an artistic space for its participants through dance and music classes and to empower its members to attain a college education. We serve over 150 children, their families, and their communities.
Our Mission
Nuestras Raíces exists to promote the Mexican culture through dance, music, and other traditional art forms and, at the same time, to promote higher education. Nuestras Raíces' mission is threefold: to educate its members and the community about Mexico, to foment a need in our members to become community leaders by obtaining a college education, and to create a space of social justice where education and art intersect.
